Ross Distinguished Visiting Professorship of Canada - U.S. Business and Economic Relations
About the Position: The College of Business and Economics at Western Washington University is recruiting for the G. Robert Ross Distinguished Visiting Professorship of Canada - U.S. Business and Economic Relations and seeks to establish a pool of qualified candidates.

The term of appointment is normally one year, with possible renewal for up to three years.  Shorter appointments of one or two quarters will also be considered.  Appointments could begin as early as Fall Quarter 2010 and proposals for later dates are also invited at this time.

About the College/Department: College of Business and Economics
Position Responsibilities: The successful candidate will be expected to engage actively in teaching and scholarly activity on business and economic relations between Canada and the United States. The holder of the Ross Professorship will be expected to play an important role in communicating knowledge on Canada-U.S. affairs to audiences within and beyond the University.  Research support and funding are available and compensation and scope of assignment are negotiable.
Required Qualifications:
  • Substantial knowledge of Canada-U.S. Business and Economic Relations
  • Doctoral Degree or Senior-level Experience in Government or Business
  • Demonstrated ability to Teach at the University Level
  • Effective Communication Skills
  • Strong Publication Record or Record of Significant Professional Accomplishment
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working with diverse students, staff and faculty
Academic Emphasis: Business, Economics, or Government
Job Location: Western Washington University, Bellingham, WA
Salary: Commensurate with experience and qualifications
Bargaining Union: United Faculty of Western Washington
