|About the Position: Tenure-track position in Economics at the rank of Assistant Professor, appointment date is September 16, 2013; position is subject to funding availability.
|About the College/Department: The College of Business and Economics is AACSB accredited. The Department of Economics graduates roughly 100 majors per year (including combined majors) and has 13 full-time faculty members. |Position Responsibilities: Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in economics. In addition, scholarly research and publication, student advising, and participation in college and university activities are integral components of this appointment. Effective teaching and publication in referred journals are required for tenure and promotion. The Department is particularly interested in candidates who are able to contribute to the university’s alternative energy programs.
|Required Qualifications: |
- Ph.D. (or be ABD if the Ph.D. can be completed by time of appointment)
- Record of teaching effectiveness or demonstrated clear potential
- Demonstrated strong research ability
- Primary field in energy economics or environmental economics
|Preferred Qualifications: |
- Demonstrated experience working with diverse groups
- Ability to contribute to the university’s alternative energy programs
