Tenure-Track Faculty Position, Electronics Engineering Technology
About the Position: The Department of Engineering Technology at Western Washington University (WWU) invites applications from candidates for full-time, tenure-track position at the assistant, associate, or full professor level in electronics engineering technology.  Start date is flexible and can be as early as September 16, 2013.
About the College/Department: The engineering technology department includes programs in electronics engineering technology, manufacturing engineering technology, plastics engineering technology, industrial design and vehicle design.  There are thirteen full-time faculty and 530+ undergraduate majors.  Detailed information is available for the electronics engineering technology program at http://eet.wtec.wwu.edu.
Position Responsibilities: Position responsibilities include: teaching courses in electronics engineering technology, continued curriculum development, maintain a relevant program of scholarly activity, participate in service and accreditation activities.
Required Qualifications: Masters of science degree in electrical, or computer engineering, or engineering technology, or a closely related discipline and excellent written and verbal communication skills.  Rank of position (assistant, associate, or full) depends on achievement in teaching and scholarship.
Preferred Qualifications: Recent, relevant industry-based professional experience; PhD in electrical or computer engineering or a closely related discipline; ability to teach courses in one or more of the following areas: power electronics, control systems, electromechanical, or instrumentation; demonstrated experience in electronics product design, development, testing, applications or manufacturing; maintain a relevant program of scholarly activity; and the ability to work with a diverse student body and staff.
