|About the Position: A full-time, tenure track position at the Assistant Professor level is available in Marketing.
|About the College/Department: The College of Business and Economics is considered a leadership unit within the university. The College is AACSB accredited at both the undergraduate and graduate levels and has more than 60 full-time faculty. The College grants the MBA degree along with Bachelors of Arts degrees in Business Administration, Business and Sustainability, Accounting, Manufacturing Management and Economics. The Department of Finance and Marketing has 375 undergraduate majors and 12 faculty members.
|Position Responsibilities: Teaching responsibilities will include Integrated Marketing Communications, Marketing Strategy, and/or Branding at the undergraduate and MBA level. Other teaching responsibilities may include one or more of the following: Principles of Marketing, Marketing Research, International Marketing, Retailing and/or Consumer Behavior. The starting date is September 2014. Additional expectations include scholarship and service.
|Required Qualifications: |
- Ph.D. or ABD in Marketing or equivalent with expectation of completion by Fall 2014; ABD candidates would be hired at the lecturer rank
- Demonstrated excellence in teaching or the demonstration of teaching promise
- Excellent communications skills
- Scholarship record commensurate with the number of years since completion of the Ph.D
- Ability to teach Integrated Marketing Communications, Marketing Strategy, and/or Branding
- High degree of professionalism and organizational skills
|Preferred Qualifications: |
- Experience in the marketing field
- MBA or equivalent degree
- Ability to teach additional marketing courses as needed such as Principles of Marketing, Marketing Research, International Marketing, Retailing and/or Consumer Behavior
- Ability to work well with colleagues, including those of diverse backgrounds

Finalists will be asked to provide copies of transcripts, evidence of scholarship, and teaching evaluations (if available). A member of the search committee will be in attendance at the American Marketing Association Summer Educator’s Conference in August 2013. Any individuals who are interested in being considered for a meeting at this conference should say so in the letter of application. A limited number of individuals will then be invited to participate in a brief meeting. It is not required that you participate in this process to be considered for this position.
